Make It! Calgary’s Handmade Market, April 7-9, 2017
Local, crafts, clothing, jewelry, soaps and accessories are on display at Make It! Calgary’s Handmade Market. Head down to Big Four at Stampede Park to meet over 175 designers and makers from across Western Canada. Stock up on Christmas gifts, splurge a little on yourself, and hang out in the beer garden while listening to live music. Admission is just $5 for adults, and free for children under 12.
Aggie Days, April 8-9, 2017
Aggie Days, at Stampede Park’s Agrium Western Event Centre, is a free, fun-filled weekend for families. Learn about Calgary’s agricultural industry through exciting interactive activities, like cow milking, sheep shearing and herding, and an extreme cowboy obstacle course. Discover where your food comes from, wander through the corn maze, and meet local growers and a wide variety of farm animals.
California Wine Fair, April 25, 2017
Held in support of the Calgary Opera, the California Wine Fair, at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park, is the largest showcase of Californian wines in Canada. Sample wines from 150 of California’s top producers, nibble on hors d'oeuvres and bid on the silent auction, which includes some special bottles of wine that you won’t find available for sale in stores. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online.
Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, April 27-30, 2017
Calling all comic book fans – the Calgary Expo is coming to Stampede Park. With over 600 exhibitors, vendors and artists from across Canada and around the world, you’ll be well entertained throughout this four-day extravaganza. Tour the convention floor to shop for coveted first editions and original works of art, learn about local clubs and organizations and meet top entertainers and personalities. In addition to the convention, you’ll find a host of special programming and events. Tickets range in price, and can be purchased in advance online.

Calgary Horticultural Society Garden Show, April 29-30, 2017
Year after year gardening enthusiasts flock to the Calgary Horticultural Society’s annual gardening show at Spruce Meadows. This year’s event features more than 100 exhibitors sharing expert knowledge and showcasing gardening products and equipment. Take a hands-on workshop, attend a how-to demonstration, listen to speakers and enter to win a variety of gardening focused prizes. There’s also activities for children, so bring the whole family and make a day of it. Tickets are $15 for members, $18 for non-members in advance and $20 at the door.
