July 1, 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of Confederation in Canada. Calgary Stampede, July 7-16, 2017

Dust off your cowboy boots, it’s Stampede time in Calgary. It all begins with the family friendly kick-off parade on Friday July 7th. Fiestaval, July 21-23, 2017

Expect mouthwatering eats, hot beats and epic dance performances at the Fiestaval Latin Festival. This free, family friendly outdoor party, held at Calgary Olympic Plaza, is a three-day extravaganza celebrating Latin food, music and culture. Bring the kids and make a day of dancing on the lawn, sampling amazing cuisine and watching traditional dance and musical performances.

Calgary Folk Music Festival, July 27-30, 2017

Grab your picnic blanket and head to Prince’s Island Park for the 38th annual Calgary Folk Musical Festival. This four-day family friendly affair features award-winning artist from across Canada and the United States. Shop at the artisan market, grab a bite and a brew in the Big Rock Beer Garden, and then dance the day and night away. Performances by Blue Rodeo, Barenaked Ladies and City and Colour are just a few of the highlights this year.

Petapalooza, July 29-30, 2017

Celebrate you’re favourite furry friend at Calgary’s Petapalooza. The west coast’s largest outdoor pet festival is a free – family friendly event held at Eau Claire. Bring your pup to sample treats and socialize. Shop for accessories, food and toys. Wander through Prince’s Island Park, and enjoy summer in the city.
