Calgary Home & Garden Show, March 2-5

Mark your calendars for Calgary’s largest home and garden extravaganza at the BMO Centre & Corral in Stampede Park. This year’s celebrity speakers include Kortney and Dave Wilson from the hit television series Masters of Flip, and the award winning landscape designer and HGTV host, Carson Arthur. In addition to touring all of the local and international exhibits on display, visitors can enter to win a host of prizes including a chance to build homes with Habitat for Humanity in Kona Hawaii (entry requires a $25 donation).

The Big Taste, March 3-12

Calling all foodies! The Big Taste hits Calgary this month and we couldn’t be more excited. This is your opportunity to try the city’s hottest restaurants at a fraction of the cost. Whether you have your eye on fine dining establishments – like the newly restored Deane House – or you prefer more casual Happy Hour fare – you’ll find something to suit every taste and budget during this 10-day culinary festival. Lunch starts at just $15, dinners are from $25, and gourmet five-course feasts are $65 per person.

Cochrane Bridal Fair, March 5

Blushing brides will want to mark the annual Cochrane Bridal Fair in their calendars. Held at the historic RancheHouse on March 5, this wedding focused affair features three fashion shows and dozens of local and international events and bridal focused vendors. Tickets are only $10 per person (or $25 for three!) and all brides will be entered for a chance to win one of 12 door prizes.

Spring Comic & Toy Show, March 12

Comic fans will love attending the Red & White Calgary Comic and Toy Show at McMahon Stadium. With all vendor and artist tables already sold out you can expect an exceptional showcase of comics, toys, manga, original artwork and much, much more! There will also be role-playing games and an artist alley, costume contest and silent auction. Tickets are $5 and children under the age of 12 are free.

Festival of Animated Objects, March 16-19

World-class artists will join together in Calgary this March for a four-day celebration of puppet artistry. Audiences of all ages will be dazzled and entertained with the festival’s engaging line-up of film screenings, gallery exhibitions, workshops and live performances, held at venues throughout the city.
