Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival, October 13-14, 2017

Bring your appetite to the 20th annual Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival, held at the Stampede Park BMO Centre. This year’s delicious festivities are still under wraps, but we hear it’s going to be an epic night filled with mouthwatering culinary creations and an amazing array of wine, spirits and beer. General admission starts at $19 per person, and special VIP packages are available from $35 per person. Make an evening of it and stay at the Hyatt Regency for just $129 + tax, per night.


Rocky Mountain Wine

Calgary Woman’s Show, October 21-22, 2017

Grab your girlfriends and head down to the Calgary Woman’s Show at BMO Centre. Wander around and chat with the more than 300 exhibitors from the beauty, fashion and culinary industries. Pick-up some free swag and enter to win a $500 shopping spree. Meet Doug Davidson – aka Paul Williams – from The Young and the Restless. Check out the fashion shows on the main stage. Then, grab a drink with friends in the Wine Garden. Tickets start at $14 (children 12 and under are free).


Calgary Woman's Show

Haunted Calgary, October 27, 28 & 31, 2017

Get ready for the fright of your life at the haunted house in Rocky Ridge. Touted as the largest in the city, Haunted Calgary has been terrifying visitors for the last 20 years. This Halloween the theme is Hollywood Horrors, and it promises to be the scariest yet. Be prepared for dimly lit rooms, spooky sounds and seasoned actors popping out from every nook and cranny. For those who frighten easily, the attraction has low scare hours from 2-4pm. Tickets are by a minimum $10 donation.


Haunted Calgary

Maker Faire Calgary, October 28-28, 2017

Held at Spruce Meadows, Maker Fair Calgary is an epic show and tell event, where inventors – or makers – from all walks of life can share their creations. This family friendly festival celebrates creativity and invention, and provides a stage for artists, scientists, crafters and engineers to showcase their work. It’s a place to learn something new, and let your imagination soar. Children under the age of 18 can attend the fair for free, and adult passes start at just $16.


Maker Faire

Ghouls' Night Out, October 26-29, 2017

Hit the streets of Heritage Park this October for a historic Halloween bash. Ghouls’ Night out is all about spooky family friendly fun focused on ages three to nine. Cozy up for a Halloween tale and crafts, led by wizards and witches. Boogie down to the Monster Mash. Indulge your sweet-tooth at the Ginger-dead-Man decorating table. Keep a watch out for spooky townsfolk, scarecrows and ghouls. Be sure to wear your Halloween costume and bring a camera to capture all of the freaky fun. Tickets are just $6.95 for ages 3-12, and $10.95 for 13 and up.
